Le Pen now 'has a choice' to run in the election or not
politics
According to France 24, a Paris appeals court ruled on July seventh that Marine Le Pen, the far-right leader, could potentially run for the French presidency in twenty twenty-seven — but only if she agrees to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet. Le Pen has previously said she would not campaign under those conditions. The decision now leaves the choice in her hands: mount a presidential bid while wearing an ankle monitor, or step aside. France 24's Marc Perelman reports the ball is now firmly in her court.
