politics

According to France 24, France's National Rally faces a leadership crossroads ahead of the twenty twenty-seven presidential election. An appeals court has ruled that party leader Marine Le Pen is barred from holding office for fifteen months—a ban that theoretically lifts in time for the vote. That leaves the far-right party with a choice: run Le Pen despite the tag hanging over the campaign, or rally behind her thirty-year-old protégé Jordan Bardella as the candidate instead.
