Sian Heder’s ‘Being Heumann’ to Open TIFF 2026, Cynthia Erivo’s ‘Prima Facie’ to World Premiere

Sian Heder's drama 'Being Heumann' will open the Toronto International Film Festival this September, according to Variety. The film stars Ruth Madeley as disability rights advocate Judith Heumann and premieres on September tenth. It's Heder's follow-up to her breakthrough twenty twenty-one hit 'CODA.' Also making its world debut at the festival: Cynthia Erivo's 'Prima Facie.'
