According to Variety, actor Jason Isaacs will lead a new scripted series dramatizing the United Kingdom's maternity deaths scandal. The project, from Cuba Pictures — part of Vice Studios — is based on the award-winning documentary "Maternity: Broken Trust" and will be directed by Jim Loach, who made "Lockerbie." Isaacs said what drew him in was the story's sheer scale, reaching far beyond any single family.
