The mountain where climbers stop short of the summit on purpose

entertainment

According to Boing Boing, a documentary follows mountaineers ascending Kangchenjunga, the world's third-tallest peak, only to stop deliberately short of the summit. The climbers pause out of cultural respect for the sacred mountain—choosing reverence over conquest. The film traces the southwest Yalung Face route from base camp across the Yalung Glacier, through crevasses and exposed ridges, capturing the moment climbers honor the peak by stepping back from its very top.
