Zelenskyy says Nato should let Ukraine join to ‘make all of us stronger’

According to The Guardian, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made his case at NATO's annual summit for the alliance to admit Ukraine, arguing that a country which built up strong defenses through its long fight against Russia's invasion should not be shut out. Letting Ukraine in, he said, would make all of us stronger. Zelenskyy claimed his country now produces almost all the weapons it needs, and that the one remaining gap is air defense — specifically, European help in developing an alternative to the American Patriot systems to guard against ballistic missile attacks.
