Arianespace opens door to GEO rideshare opportunities from 2029
business
French launch provider Arianespace is planning to open new rideshare services to geostationary orbit starting in 2029. According to SpaceNews, the company has signed a memorandum of understanding with French in-orbit servicing firm Infinite Orbits to develop multiple direct-to-GEO rideshare launch options. The partnership could allow satellite operators to share launch costs by booking spots on a single rocket headed to geostationary orbit—a commercial opportunity expected to expand competition in the high-value GEO market.
