Schrödinger’s anthill: Quantum entanglement found in a crystal large enough to hold
science
According to ScienceDaily, physicists have spotted quantum entanglement in a crystal roughly a centimeter across — an object big enough to hold in your hand. That's notable because entanglement is usually the province of the vanishingly small; here, a large, everyday-sized chunk of matter is showing deep quantum behavior. Researchers say the finding could help crack the long-standing puzzle of so-called strange metals, and may open the door to ultra-precise quantum sensors and other advanced technologies.
