Britons to buy 8m mini fans this year – but almost half will end up in landfill

As temperatures surge across Britain, Britons are expected to purchase eight million mini handheld fans this year. According to The Guardian, waste managers are sounding the alarm: nearly half of these cheap products—some selling for just two pounds—are low-quality items destined for landfills within twelve months. Online searches for the fans have already exceeded all of twenty twenty-five's total within just the first half of this year.
