world

According to The Guardian, the ceasefire meant to end the war between the United States and Iran appears close to collapse. The Guardian reports that both militaries struck each other around the strait of Hormuz, and three commercial vessels were hit. The US also revoked a temporary sanctions waiver that had allowed Tehran to export oil. Iran accused Washington of violating the agreement, while President Donald Trump, speaking at a NATO summit in Turkey, said he believed the ceasefire was over, calling Iranian officials liars and cheaters and saying any talks would be a waste of time.
