California is proposing Assembly Bill three eleven, which would permit drivers to voluntarily trade their driving data for potentially lower insurance rates. The technology, called telematics, transmits details about your driving habits to insurance companies. According to CalMatters, the bill would change California insurance law to allow this data-sharing arrangement.
