Bank of England governor says he is ‘able to spot’ lobbying after Farage crypto meeting
politics
According to The Guardian, the governor of the Bank of England has broken his silence on the pressure Nigel Farage applied to drop a cryptocurrency policy — one that could prove costly for Reform UK's billionaire backer. Andrew Bailey said in a letter that he is, in his words, "able to spot" and resist lobbying, and that no policy changes were made as a result. The Guardian reports the intervention comes amid the biggest crisis of Farage's political career, over an undisclosed five million pound gift from Thailand-based crypto tycoon Christopher Harborne.
