Hubble Captures Star-Studded Cluster
science
According to NASA News, Hubble has photographed Messier Three, one of the Milky Way's most massive globular clusters. These are spherical collections of stars held together by gravity, and here's what makes them remarkable: every single star formed at roughly the same time, billions of years ago, from the same cloud of gas. That means they're nearly identical in age—a cosmic family bound together for eons. The Milky Way contains around one hundred fifty known globular clusters, making M Three one of the largest and most impressive examples we know of.
