Kareem Rahma's viral YouTube series 'Subway Takes,' which features man-on-the-street interviews with New York City subway riders and celebrity guests like Woody Harrelson and Jennifer Lopez, has earned its first Emmy nomination in the outstanding short form comedy, drama or variety series category. According to Variety, the recognition represents a shift in how the Television Academy acknowledges digital content, though rival creator platform Dropout was shut out of the nominations this year.
