Trump says he will allow Ukraine to make its own Patriot missiles

According to France 24, US President Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit yesterday that Washington would grant Ukraine a license to manufacture its own Patriot air-defense systems. The Patriot's interceptor missiles are, as France 24 notes, the only weapon in Kyiv's arsenal capable of shooting down Russia's ballistic missiles, making domestic production a potentially significant shift in how Ukraine sustains its defenses.
