From menacing threats to comical misnomers: Donald Trump’s unlikely tale of love and darkness at Nato

politics

According to The Guardian, President Donald Trump closed out NATO's annual summit with a strikingly mixed message. After spending much of the gathering airing grievances, including his familiar complaint about Greenland, Trump used his farewell remarks, delivered alongside Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to praise the very alliance he had been criticizing a day earlier. The Guardian reports that his appearance also veered into threats against Iran and moments in which he confused the names of world leaders, capping an unpredictable turn at the summit.
