UK has ‘no future’ if it fails to act on ecosystem collapse threatening national security

According to The Guardian, MPs are demanding the full publication of a report by the UK's intelligence chiefs that warns the collapse of ecosystems overseas could have catastrophic consequences for British national security. The report, which has circulated among defence officials for more than a year, concludes the UK has, in its words, no future if the findings are not urgently acted on. The government has so far refused to release it in full, even as concerns mount over food security, worries compounded by a third heatwave now gripping the UK and much of the northern hemisphere.
