According to The Guardian, an erratic and at times irascible Donald Trump dominated the closing hours of the two-day NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey. The US president said he felt a "tremendous love" from Western leaders, only hours after lambasting them over their defense spending and their refusal to help the US attack Iran. His mixed messaging ran from publicly calling Iran's leadership scum to renewing his demand for control of Greenland. Alliance leaders, who had feared the worst, are expected to hail Trump's renewed support for Article 5, the mutual-defense pledge, as a key victory.
