Greenlanders reject Trump's renewed push for control of island

According to France 24, Greenlanders are pushing back against President Trump's renewed bid for U.S. control of their Arctic island. At a traditional kayaking championship in the capital, Nuuk, residents said the future of Greenland should be decided by Greenlanders themselves. Trump made his latest demand while speaking at a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, arguing that control of the semi-autonomous Danish territory is important for U.S. national security.
