Fourth person killed by agents from Trump’s Memphis anticrime taskforce
politics
According to The Guardian, federal agents shot and killed a man at an extended-stay motel in Memphis on Wednesday morning, during a Drug Enforcement Administration operation carried out with the Memphis Safe Task Force. It marks the fourth officer-involved death tied to the anti-crime initiative since it began in September, and all four of those deaths have come in the past two months. President Trump created the federal task force by executive order last year, part of a broader surge of troops and federal law enforcement into Democratic-run cities he described as overrun with crime.
