A night in photos: Kyiv takes another Russian strike while Ukraine hunts Russia’s refineries, an airfield, and its ‘shadow fleet’

According to Meduza, the war's overnight tempo cut both ways. Russian forces struck Kyiv again in the early hours of July eighth, while Ukraine's military launched a fresh wave of long-range attacks on Russia's oil infrastructure. Ukrainian drones reportedly hit so-called shadow-fleet tankers in the Sea of Azov, an industrial zone in Nizhnekamsk that houses two oil refineries, additional refineries in Saratov and Ufa, and a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, in the Voronezh region. Meduza reports one person was killed and at least eight others were wounded.
