According to Variety, England's upset win over Mexico to reach the World Cup quarterfinals pulled in nearly forty-five million viewers on Sunday night. Fox Sports drew twenty-one point seven million for the English-language telecast, while the Spanish-language broadcast on Telemundo and Peacock actually edged it out with twenty-three point two million.
