Baby barn owls rescued from a dock loft before first flight

According to Boing Boing, several young barn owls that had made their home in a loft above a dock faced an unusual hazard: their first attempts at flight could have sent them plummeting into the water below. A rescue operation stepped in before the chicks fledged, safely relocating them in what became a successful wildlife handoff — giving these fledglings a fighting chance to learn to fly without drowning.
