South Korea's top court upholds 7-year sentence for ex-president Yoon

According to France 24, South Korea's Supreme Court has upheld a seven-year prison sentence for former president Yoon Suk Yeol. The country's top court finalized the ruling on charges of obstruction and other crimes tied to his short-lived declaration of martial law back in 2024. Yoon, who was removed from office over the episode, has maintained that the martial law order was motivated by the public interest.
