Australia and India have struck a major uranium deal during Narendra Modi's three-day visit to Australia. According to The Guardian, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the agreement would allow uranium exports to flow to India for what he called peaceful purposes, potentially ending decades of delays over regular shipments of the nuclear fuel. The announcement comes ahead of Modi's first major rally of the trip at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium, an event expected to draw a crowd of around thirty thousand. Albanese credited the Indian leader's personal engagement for the strength of ties between the two countries.
