According to France 24, Abelardo de la Espriella, a far-right lawyer and businessman backed by Donald Trump, has won Colombia's presidential runoff with forty-nine point seven percent of the vote, narrowly defeating his left-wing rival Ivan Cepeda by one percent. Cepeda has announced plans to challenge results from more than thirty thousand voting stations.
