According to France 24, the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is drawing to a close after six days of ceremonies in Iran. The late supreme leader was killed alongside close family members on February twenty-eighth, the opening day of the US-Israeli war against the Islamic republic. The mourning unfolds against a dangerous backdrop: the United States and Iran have resumed strikes, raising fears of a return to full-scale war. Much of the attention now turns to succession.
