LGBTQ+ inclusion in film at a three-year low, Glaad survey suggests

According to Glaad's annual film survey, LGBTQ-plus representation in movies hit a three-year low in twenty twenty-five. Just twenty percent of last year's theatrical releases included queer characters — and the decline disproportionately affected LGBTQ-plus people of color. The study found zero trans characters in the two hundred twenty-five films analyzed, highlighting how marginalized communities within the queer community remain largely invisible on screen.
