National Court opens trial against BBVA and former chairman over 'Villarejo case'

According to Euronews, Spain's National Court has opened trial against the bank BBVA, its former chairman Francisco González, and fourteen other defendants over allegedly illegal contracts awarded to a former police commissioner between two thousand four and twenty sixteen — the so-called Villarejo case.
