Licensed to drill? How a Trump-linked Texas oil company is elbowing its way into Greenland

world

A Texas oil company linked to Trump administration figures is attempting to launch oil exploration in Greenland, claiming to possess billions of barrels of crude beneath the territory. According to the Guardian, Greenland Energy says it holds the necessary exploration permits and is preparing to move three hundred shipping containers of drilling equipment into the region. The venture's representative, Robert Price, visited a remote Greenlandic village in June to pitch the project to residents—a move that underscores the company's confidence, even as Greenland insists the legal foundation for their operations simply doesn't exist.
