According to Variety, Banijay and RedBird IMI have officially completed their eight-billion-dollar merger. With European regulatory approval now secured, the two production and distribution giants are combining under the leadership of Jeff Zucker and Marco Bassetti. The merged company, headquartered in London and publicly traded, brings together Banijay's portfolio of hit shows, including 'Peaky Blinders' and other acclaimed formats. The deal creates one of the entertainment industry's largest independent production and distribution operations.
