Sean Astin tells Congress AI should not get to steal your face

According to Boing Boing, SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin testified before Congress earlier today about nonconsensual AI replicas, arguing that deepfakes are not just an actor's problem but a reality problem. In his testimony, Astin warned that AI can now make people appear to say things they never said, endorse things they don't believe, or confess to things they know nothing about.
