Suspect in Charlie Kirk killing said ‘he wishes he hadn’t done it’, roommate testifies

politics

According to The Guardian, a suspect in the killing of far-right pundit Charlie Kirk told his then-roommate that he wished he hadn't done it. Twenty-three-year-old Tyler Robinson, who is charged with the murder, reportedly cried and made the remark one day after the fatal shooting, according to testimony played in court. The account came on the fourth day of a preliminary hearing to determine whether there is probable cause for the case to proceed to trial, as the state presented video of a prosecutor interviewing the roommate, Lance Twiggs. The move followed disagreement in court over whether making those remarks public could expose potential jurors to prejudicial information.
