NASA Space Telescope Maps Magnetic Fields of ‘Lighthouse’ Pulsar
science
According to NASA News, scientists have for the first time directly measured the magnetic fields of a pulsar called PSR J1101 minus 6101, which sits inside what's known as the Lighthouse Nebula. They did it using NASA's IXPE, the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer. NASA says the findings offer fresh insight into the structure of some of the most extreme objects in the cosmos.
