Man killed by ICE agents not intended target of immigration arrest, DHS says

According to The Guardian, a man shot and killed by federal immigration agents during a traffic stop in Houston this week was not the person they were looking for. The Department of Homeland Security said Thursday that Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican immigrant who had lived in the United States for thirty-five years, was not the intended target of the enforcement operation. Agents were reportedly seeking two people from Guatemala when they attempted to stop him.
