An 18-year-old in Russia says he was tricked into signing a military contract before he came of age

According to Meduza, an eighteen-year-old from the town of Krasnogorodsk, in Russia's Pskov region, says he was tricked into signing a military contract while he was still a minor. The young man, Anton Filimonov, is an orphan: his mother died a year ago, he has never known his father, and his only close relative is his grandmother. Meduza attributes the account to the independent Russian outlet Mediazona.
