politics
According to The Guardian, the mother of a young Treasury worker who took her own life is calling on the government department to change how it handles disciplinary proceedings. Chloe Moffat, twenty-six, had worked as a personal assistant at the Treasury for almost three years, and the coroner at her inquest this week heard that she loved her job and had an exemplary employment record. She died the day after a meeting about an anonymous complaint, a meeting to which she was not permitted to bring a colleague. Her mother says the department's process must change.
