France faces third major heatwave since May

According to France 24, another intense heatwave is gripping France — the third major one since May. In the southern town of Lodève, temperatures hit forty-one point one degrees Celsius, with nearly the entire country under heat alerts. Residents are seeking relief however they can: some staying indoors with air conditioning, others heading to canals and rivers, and many leaving their homes altogether in search of cooler refuge. Locals and tourists alike are bracing for conditions to worsen before they improve.
