According to Euronews, officials believe the majority of the twelve people killed in wildfires in Spain were foreigners. Around five hundred firefighters, backed by the country's Military Emergency Unit, battled to contain the flames and search for victims, while roughly eight hundred people were evacuated, including nearly two hundred taken to temporary shelters.
