RIAA, Grammys, SAG-AFTRA and Other Groups Launch New Labeling Program for AI Music

According to Variety, a coalition of major music industry organizations—including the RIAA, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, the Recording Academy which runs the Grammys, and the actors' union SAG-AFTRA—have unveiled a new labeling program for AI-generated music. The initiative introduces standardized labels to help listeners and industry professionals identify whether a song was created with artificial intelligence. The groups are seeking to establish a unified approach as AI music generation technology becomes increasingly prevalent in the industry.
