Taiwan braces for Super Typhoon Bavi

According to France 24, residents in northern Taiwan are bracing for Typhoon Bavi as authorities evacuate thousands, shut schools and businesses, and prepare for torrential rain, flooding, and winds of up to one hundred fifty-five kilometers per hour. The storm is expected to make landfall in southeast China on Saturday. It has already triggered deadly landslides in the Philippines and caused widespread damage in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.
