According to The Guardian, Ann Widdecombe, the former Conservative minister who later became an unlikely television celebrity, has died. She was found dead at her home in Devon on Thursday. Widdecombe left the Conservatives to join the Brexit party, which later became Reform UK, in twenty nineteen. Known for her forthright and uncompromising style, she remained politically active to the end: just a day before her death, she appeared by video link on Talk TV to praise Nigel Farage's decision to stand down from his Clacton seat and trigger a byelection, calling him a decisive man.
