Man who was killed by ICE in Texas never ‘weaponized’ his vehicle, witnesses say

The Guardian reports that three men who were inside a van when federal immigration officials shot and killed the driver in Houston, Texas, this week are disputing the Trump administration's account of what happened. The men say the driver, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, never weaponized his vehicle against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, that no ICE official was ever standing in front of the van, and that the fatal shots came from the sides of the vehicle. According to their lawyer, the three are now being pressured to sign deportation orders, while footage of the incident is said to be with investigators.
