Days after fatal ICE shooting, Texas GOP leaders remain silent about calls for independent probes

The Texas Tribune reports that days after a Houston man was killed by federal immigration agents, almost none of Texas's major Republican officials have spoken publicly about calls for independent investigations. According to the Tribune, U.S. Representative Sylvia Garcia of Houston said she had not spoken with Governor Greg Abbott about the shooting. The feed does not include further detail.
