Donald Iwerks, Disney Camera Technician and Co-Founder of Iwerks Entertainment, Dies at 96

Donald Iwerks, a pioneering camera and projection technician who spent more than six decades working on projects for Disney, has died at the age of ninety-six. Variety reports that Iwerks, the son of Mickey Mouse co-creator Ub Iwerks, helped advance 3D and large-format filmmaking and later co-founded his own studio, Iwerks Entertainment. According to the outlet, he passed away on July ninth.
