Loan Guaranty: Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Amendments

The Federal Register reports that the Department of Veterans Affairs won't adjust its civil monetary penalties for inflation this year. The shutdown prevented the Bureau of Labor Statistics from gathering the October Consumer Price Index data that's required for the annual adjustment. As a result, VA penalties remain at twenty twenty-five levels.
