Ann Widdecombe may have been killed 24 hours before her body was found

The Guardian reports that former British politician Ann Widdecombe may have been dead at her home for roughly twenty-four hours before her body was discovered. Devon police say they are working on the assumption that the seventy-eight-year-old was attacked at about half past twelve on Wednesday afternoon. Widdecombe, a onetime Conservative government minister who later became a prominent figure in Brexit and Reform politics, was a well-known name in British public life.
