Barisan Nasional swept Malaysia's Johor state election, capturing forty-eight of fifty-six seats, per Channel NewsAsia. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's Pakatan Harapan coalition took eight of the remaining seats, but the result marks a notable retreat from the twelve seats PH secured in twenty twenty-two.
