The family of an eighteen-year-old Black man in Mississippi is pleading for answers after his body was found on an island off the state's coast. The Guardian reports that Nolan Wells traveled to Horn Island over the Fourth of July weekend with three white friends before his body was discovered. At a news conference on Friday, his mother, Christine Wonsley, fought back tears as she asked anyone with information to come forward, saying the family just wants to know what happened and why their son did not come home.
