Yale scientists may have found how Parkinson's disease spreads through the brain

Scientists at Yale have identified two proteins on neuron surfaces that appear to facilitate the spread of a toxic protein linked to Parkinson's disease. When these proteins were blocked in mice, the disease's progression slowed dramatically, potentially revealing a new path for therapy development.
